The MyEZHealth Story
Dr. John Cooper is a Vascular Surgeon with 35+ years of experience in the Health System. Dr. Cooper’s experience as a surgeon seeing the challenges faced by patients today led him to develop MyEZHealth as a way to bridge the gap between patients and healthcare stakeholders. Dr. Cooper’s goal for MyEZHealth is to create transparency between the physicians, hospital, and patient’s electronic health records increasing engagement, understanding, and communication for both patients and healthcare providers. As a surgeon, the preparation for surgical procedures has become increasingly problematic despite digital health records. This can lead to delays, cancellations, and adverse events. Dr. Cooper has spent the last six years working on system-wide improvements for PAT, realizing the large gap in communication between all parties involved. He has collaborated with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, schedulers, and operating room teams to create a transparent flow sheet for preadmission testing.
